Primary Purpose

The Project Manager manages a variety of projects, partner with members of the team to deliver change and ensure the function is making the progress necessary to achieve objectives.

Essential Functions

• Provide project leadership in scoping, executing, monitoring, and reporting on projects, using a proven toolkit and project management platform

• Coordinate activities of project resources to ensure the project progresses on schedule, within budget, and in line with accepted requirements

• Create and maintain project documentation, including project charters and plans that specify goals, execution approach, staffing, and scheduling

• Prepare project status reports and keep project sponsor and teams informed of project status, related issues, and risks

• Facilitate project meetings; use engaging, informative, and well-organized presentations

• Work across the organization to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive consensus

• Assist stakeholders to define success metrics and criteria for projects and engage stakeholders to identify the root cause of issues and then constructively challenge conventional thinking to develop the solutions required to deliver desired results

• Partner with members of the leadership team to effectively deliver change through issue resolution, clear communication, and continuous reinforcement

• Propose workable solutions and develop practical plans to achieve desired outcomes, demonstrating resourcefulness, a sense of urgency, and the willingness to pilot and learn

• Assist with the identification and prioritization of key transformation initiatives

• Utilize change management principles in project planning and assist with risk management and facilitate change control for projects

• Develop communication plans; deliver timely and effective updates to all identified audiences

• Actively work with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and deliver actionable resolutions with quantifiable business benefit

• Manage third-party vendors and consultants

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of leading and managing projects and delivering results in a matrixed environment

  • Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical rigor and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – taking complex concepts and data and communicating them effectively to diverse audiences

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications

  • Operated in informal and formal networks while aligning team members

  • Strong interpersonal and engagement skills with a senior executive audience

  • Synthesize large quantities of data and generate meaningful insights

  • Proactive nature and self-initiative in an unstructured environment

  • Ability to identify and address challenges and drive alignment

  • Effective communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, presentation, and facilitation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with team members, stakeholders, executive leaders, and vendors

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, critical thinking, and initiative

Salary Range

$65,000.00 – $125,000.00 / year

Pay Transparency Statement

At United Site Services, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
