OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Purchasing Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiations, supplier management, and contract administration. Your strong analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and attention to detail will contribute to optimizing our supply chain, reducing costs, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. By effectively managing the procurement function, you will play a key role in supporting our manufacturing operations and meeting customer demands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and services

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements

  • Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address any issues or concerns to ensure a reliable and high-quality supply chain

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production, and Quality, to align procurement activities with project timelines and specifications

  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and emerging suppliers or technologies

  • Lead contract negotiations and develop contracts and agreements that mitigate risk and protect the company's interests

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supplier performance and drive continuous improvement

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, track purchasing activities, and provide regular reports to management

  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements and compliance related to procurement and supply chain management

  • Coach and develop the purchasing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous learning

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role within a manufacturing or procurement department

  • In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, best practices, and supplier management strategies

  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to drive cost savings and favorable terms with suppliers

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and supplier performance evaluation

  • Familiarity with supply chain processes, including demand planning, inventory management, and logistics

  • Proficiency in using procurement software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Commitment to ethical sourcing practices, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility
