Job Description:

Assumes responsibility to lead team in providing quality patient care in the outpatient clinical setting. Demonstrating a commitment to evidence-based practice, acts as a wound care expert and resource to Wound Center staff, students and other Northeast Hospital employees and physicians. Attends Hyperbaric Medicine Team Training if requested by Wound Center Director. Directs, assigns and supervises Wound Center support staff and works collaboratively with Center MD’s. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care in accordance with policies, procedures and standards of NHC Nursing Division and the Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine Center.

Essential Functions: The essential functions of this position are denoted by criteria with weights equal to or greater than 2. Criteria with weights less than 2 are considered marginal functions for this position.

Education/Experience:

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  2. Previous med/surg experience preferred.

  3. Previous experience in advanced wound techniques

preferred.

  1. BSN preferred

Certification/License:

  1. Current Massachusetts RN licensure

  2. BCLS

  3. CWOCN (Certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse)

preferred

  1. Hyperbaric Nursing Certification preferred
