State Street’s Integrated Marketing group is responsible for telling our company’s story — to all of our audiences and through a variety of channels, including digital platforms. As part of that group, the Content Strategy team writes in a voice that’s refreshingly clear and conversational, reflects who we are as an organization, and gets to the point on the topics that matter to our clients, prospects and stakeholders.
What you’d actually be doing:
- Writing and managing content for our corporate website (www.statestreet.com)
- Contributing ideas and creating stories that are conversational and personable for our listenblog channel (www.listen.statestreet.com)
- Working with teams across Global Marketing to draft compelling content that promotes research campaigns, client events and other marketing initiatives
- Helping review content in our request-for-proposal process, keeping a client-centric focus on the value proposition of State Street’s products and services

You’re a skilled copywriter with a strong background in writing for digital marketing channels like web, blogs and commercial marketing emails. You have a degree in marketing communications or a related field, and 3-5 years of experience delivering superb content. Like us, you spurn jargon, passive prose and compound sentences. Instead you opt for clarity and the opportunity to turn complicated topics into easy-to-understand language that grabs your audience’s attention. You also know your way around a CMS and have experience managing content for a website. You have a creative streak, but you’re super-organized. You manage strictly to deadlines, but are willing to pitch in wherever writing support is required. Comfortable working on your own and as part of a team, you collaborate well with colleagues and clients. Some understanding of financial services and our products is great, but not a deal-breaker. You continually sharpen and refine your skills, and don’t mind occasionally geeking out on grammar.
