The US Consumer Services Finance Team analyzes and provides decision support for new product launches, deal negotiations, product investment, pricing & card member corrective actions. This manager role is an integral part of the team whose primary responsibility will be analyzing the multiple product structures and economics to decision and estimate card member corrective actions, and assessing downstream impact of portfolio optimization and other strategic actions. As part of this responsibility, the Finance Manager will be asked to work with Finance and Business partners across all three product portfolios (Charge, Lending and Co-Brand). Additionally, the manager with work very closely with GCSMNS HQ and Controllership leadership on quarterly planning and forecasting of estimated corrective actions. This is a great opportunity to build a diverse set of skills and learn the economics and drivers of the entire product portfolio. Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Financial modeling and analysis for US Consumer and OPEN small business products, leveraging understanding of product economics to support corrective action analytics and execution processes.
  • Lead financial modeling and analysis on adhoc strategic projects to drive results across US Consumer
  • Play a key role in enhancing the processes and governance of corrective actions and develop a methodology for assessing customer impact
  • Work on cross functional teams (Marketing, Technology, Risk, Controllership, Compliance, etc) analyzing estimated and actual remediation impacts

  • Strong financial modeling / analytical skills across multiple disciplines including business analysis

  • Highly motivated individual with an ability to drive results and work on project-related work while understanding and incorporating multiple viewpoints and motivations from a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Track record of innovation and thought leadership in previous roles
  • Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Advanced narrative and persuasive presentation skills with ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages
  • Ability to influence and drive alignment among various organizations and disciplines
  • Ability to handle high pressure environment with aggressive deadlines while balancing long term / short term impacts and multiple priorities and customers
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • IDN/SAS knowledge preferred but not required
  • Bachelors’ degree required
  • 4 years of relevant work experience
