This Clinical Nurse Educator/Resource Nurse will be responsible for:

  • Working for Primary Care at both the Boston Children’s Longwood Primary Care and Martha Eliot Health Center; which are busy pediatric practices with a wide variety of pediatric/adolescent primary and urgent health care needs including immunizations, well child-care, growth and development issues, and asthma.

  • Providing nursing professional development expertise as an educator, facilitator, change agent, leaders and researcher.

  • Supporting the development of the primary care nurse through knowledge to achieve excellence in the delivery of evidenced based nursing practice.

  • Assessing, developing, planning, implementing, and evaluating competency, continuing education and leadership development at the program level.

  • Participating, planning and evaluating orientation for staff.

  • Creating a professional nursing climate to meet the needs of the diverse unit and global needs of the Boston Children’s Hospital system.

  • Developing, managing, and implementing programs for a wide variety of educational initiatives including program development, instruction and evaluation with emphasis on nursing orientation and professional development for all levels of nursing staff.

  • Providing leadership and expertise through the processes of collaboration, consultation, facilitation and education.

  • Demonstrating well developed communication skills, both written and oral, comfort with technologies and advanced skills in clinical pediatric care, education, and evidence based practice tools and techniques.

  • Traveling for this position as needed.

To qualify, you must have:

  • A BSN.

  • 3-5 years pediatric experience mandatory. Primary Care experience mandatory.

  • Inpatient experience preferred.

  • Spanish speaking preferred.
