  • This position reports to the Adm/Finance Officer and is responsible for the day-to-day audit functions for the Finance and Parking departments of Tufts Shared Services, Inc. The Parking Financial Auditor/Analyst will conduct a daily revenue audit including cash summaries, journals for entry, and any other related revenue report needed for the department. The Parking Financial Auditor/Analyst's job responsibilities include verifying and recording revenue for products or services, credit card billing and credit card deposits, and responding to customer billing inquires and disputes. The Parking Financial Auditor/Analyst will prepare reports to help ensure that the firm runs efficiently. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Analyzes and develops security procedures for cash handling, tickets, etc. with an emphasis on dual controls utilizing and developing the computer controlled revenue system. Responsible for the continual evaluation of parking facilities to further enhance cash control. Works towards the minimization of cash handling, maximizing cash control, while enhancing the safety of parking employees. Responsible for the inventory, sale, and controlled use of stickers, coupons, key cards, and validation machines for visitors and employees. Audit parking bags, cash logs, dqi reports, and various other parking/finance reports. Ensure compliance with existing internal and external income control policies and procedures. SKILLS: Level of knowledge generally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree in Accounting or Business. Bachelor's degree preferred. Two to three years of related accounting or auditing experience. Supervisory experience preferred. Analytical skills for analyzing and reconciling accounts. Interpersonal skills for interacting effectively with managers, administrators, auditors, etc. Strong background in computers, both in the use and the application for revenue control. Knowledge of large retail cash operation helpful. Experience in a parking operation is preferred.
