Job Information
Commonwealth Care Alliance Sr. Medical Director, instED in Boston, Massachusetts
Why This Role is Important to Us:
Our healthcare system is under tremendous pressure as we face ever rising costs, a lack of capacity and dwindling access to quality care. These challenging circumstances have emphasized the need for innovative care delivery models that go beyond the traditional methods of caring for patients. We should no longer accept the fact that millions of people do not have access to proper care and visit Emergency Departments because they have no alternatives. The poor patient experience, the sub-optimal care, and the estimated $75B+ spent on unnecessary ED visits each year, make it extremely clear that something needs to be done.
instED was founded to help address these very problems . We strive to eliminate unnecessary and avoidable visits to Emergency Departments and the inpatient hospital admissions that often follow, by offering quality urgent care services in the comfort and safety of the patient’s home.
We combine an experienced and trained team of clinicians (nurses, paramedics and physicians), an extensive library of proprietary medical protocols, and an industry leading technology platform to serve a quickly growing patient population and avoid unnecessary ED visits 88% of the time .
The Sr. Medical Director, InstED is a key clinical leader and member of the instED management team, responsible for the design/redesign, end-to-end process improvement and ongoing assessment of instED’s innovative medical service delivery offering.
