About the role:

As a Data Quality Manager you will help to shape and implement the vision across US stakeholders to lead and apply data quality best practices to data products, achieving full trust and confidence by our data practitioners .Join Takeda as a Data Quality Manager where you will understand the business landscape architecture, digest the business hurdles, and build solutions around it .As part of the USBU DDT team , you will report to Data Platforms Lead and work with Key stakeholders.

How you will contribute:

  • Leads the USBU strategy for data quality technologies, common frameworks, and solutions.

  • Partners with the global Enterprise Data & Analytic Solutions (EDAS) team identify and implement common tool sets and platforms supporting data quality.

  • Develops the USBU data quality roadmap and capability implementation guided by the DD&T value framework.

  • Defines and determines data quality standards.

  • Leverages on the DAMA framework to manage data quality across the six dimensions of accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity, and integrity.

  • Closely collaborates with data product owners to assess needs and propose solutions.

  • Accountable for data observability capabilities, i.e. Lakehouse Monitoring, Monte Carlo, etc. and the scale up thereof.

  • Inspires data confidence through transparency of data issues and prioritization of valuable and measurable improvements.

  • Reviews, designs, and creates specifications for capability builds to ensure common framework and tooling will meet expectations.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Required

  • Undergraduate degree in a technical field such as computer science, data analytics or data engineering.

  • Development experience using Jupiter Notebooks, Databricks, Spark, Redshift, and ML technologies.

  • Extensive prior experience with Data Quality and Observability tools.

  • Prior experience in data engineering.

  • Expertise in SQL and data analysis and experience with at least one programming language, preferably Python.

  • Experience with visualization tools, i.e. Tableau.

  • Experience with cloud computing and storage technologies, i.e. AWS. Preferred

  • Master in Computer Science.

  • Prior pharmaceutical or biotech data and analytics experiences with familiarity of commercial data sets and processes.

  • Understanding of additional AWS services

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$133,000.00 - $209,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
