Responsibilities
  • Performs a full range of administrative duties to include, but not limited to, screening incoming telephone calls and walk-in appointment requests, greeting and assisting visitors, maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments for meetings and conferences, tracking division action items, providing new employee on-boarding support, preparing briefing materials, ensuring proper time and attendance data entry, providing FOIA support, providing records management, and tracking incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Reviews and edits correspondence, reports, and other materials, ensuring proper format, grammatical accuracy, plain language, and conformity to internal administrative policies and procedures.

  • Gathers, analyzes, and compiles administrative and technical data from electronic and hard-copy sources.

  • Arranges domestic and international travel, prepares travel authorizations and vouchers. Provides the fund certification of travel funds, and provides information to managers and employees on travel policy and E2 Government Travel Service (ETS2).

  • Interacts with managers and employees in the office and may provide administrative support to high level management officials and a virtual workforce.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to FG-7/8, GS-8 or FV-D in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be credible, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

Specialized Experience:

Specialized experience consists of progressively responsible clerical, office or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position being filled.
