Philips Medical Affairs Specialist in Cambridge, Massachusetts

As a Medical Affairs Specialist, you will help to develop the Medical Office within HPM, contribute with clinical context in the whole lifecycle of our solutions and products. In close contact with selected customers and advisors, you will support further development of the HPM strategy and work closely on the creation of clinical evidence.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Act as a Key opinion leader and manage key-opinion-leadership and act as external and internal facing evangelist for relevant clinical and medical topics via ambassadorship, whitepapers, engagement with societies, scientists, customers, industry partners, payers, governments and NGO´s.

  • Provide thought leadership on key relevant clinical and medical topics to support strategy development and strategy execution.

  • Ensure medical know-how is embedded and insights included in all steps along the product life cycle, from ideation to end of life.

  • Identify, establish, and maintain relationships with key thought leaders and key societies.

  • Co-create innovation together with clinical and other partners and consortia.

  • Effectively translate scientific, clinical, market trends/research and stakeholder interaction data into publication strategies, messaging, and tactical planning.

  • Partner with Clinical Affairs, Product Management and Marketing to develop and implement a comprehensive global publication plan (including manuscripts, congress abstracts, symposium presentations and poster presentations) in collaboration and alignment with cross-functional teams.

  • Enable compliant safety information pre and post-market documentation and reporting.

  • Ensure medical safety and appropriate clinical risk assessment on products and solutions.

  • Support HEMAR (health economics, Market access and reimbursement) on e.g. Health Technology assessments, market adoption dynamics in key markets, current and future reimbursement models.

  • Advise on potential M&A deals and partnerships, including hands-on involvement during due diligence phase and on deal teams.

You're the right fit if:

  • A nursing degree (Nurse Practitioner, RN, Midwife) or similar is essential.

  • 5+ years of clinical work in the field of Hospital Patient Monitoring.

  • Training, preferably in acute medicine (ED, ICU, anesthesia / cardiology, OB).

  • Interest in scientific work, ideally with previous experience in research and preparation of scientific content.

  • Team player who also thrives working independently.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to motivate and inspire.

  • Confident and proactive attitude.

  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%).

  • Good command of the English language (verbal and written). Command of the German language is a plus.
