    Job Description

SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, MIT MARTIN TRUST CENTER FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP, Sloan School of Management, to provide advanced organizational and administrative support--with minimal supervision--for the managing director/professor of the practice, executive director, and center staff. Will help to deliver on the center’s mission of providing the expertise, support, and connections that MIT and MIT Sloan students need to become effective entrepreneurs; assist with special projects such as planning for center strategy meetings, major donor events, and hosting visiting dignitaries/business executives/alums; serve as an integral member of the Trust Center team and the primary point of contact for fundraising for center programs, initiatives, and endowment giving; and enhance and influence the culture of the center and its programs. In the absence of the managing director, may be called on to give center tours and host meetings for important visitors. Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; five years of experience supporting a high level executive (e.g., director, dean, or C-level) or providing administrative support in a fast paced environment such as a startup; project and time management experience; meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and quality; strong organizational, interpersonal, customer service, and verbal and written communication skills; comfort presenting in front of medium-sized groups; discretion and good judgment with confidential information/issues; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and ability to identify and learn new software. Seek a self-motivated individual who is able to work proactively; independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; and interact effectively with VIPs, students, faculty, staff, and visitors. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree.
