Robert Half Cost & Inventory Manager in Leominster, Massachusetts

Description

We are in the Scientific Instrument Manufacturing industry, located in Greater Worcester. We have a role open for a Cost & Inventory Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing inventory valuation and ensuring its accuracy

• Capitalizing inventory to correctly reflect its value in financial reports

• Managing Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing processes to ensure efficient production

• Conducting Purchase Price Variance (PPV) accounting to track and analyze changes in purchase prices

• Implementing steps in rolling standards to ensure cost efficiency

• Performing standard cost variance analysis to identify and address discrepancies

• Assisting in creating gross margin analysis, sales and volume analysis, pricing analysis

• Ensuring that the workload is covered and that the cost accounting functions are running smoothly

Requirements

• The candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the Scientific Instrument Manufacturing industry.

• Demonstrated expertise in cost management and inventory control.

• Proficiency in using standard cost systems is essential.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with various departments.
