Job Description

The Program Director oversees the Lynn DCF office. Monitors DCF services/ budget in conjunction with DCF management. The Program Director will oversee the adequacy, appropriateness, fiscal viability, and quality of clinical and operational programming as well as implement orientation, supervision, and staff performance activities to ensure high standards of client and organization results. He/she will also monitor workers? productivity, oversee providers are adhering to RFR guidelines and manage referral process to these agencies. Develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for LHBS and Department of Children & Families.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee Family Networks contract in the Lynn DCF office

  2. Works in collaboration with DCF workers and DCF Area Director

  3. Attend Regional & area office meetings.

  4. Provides 1:1 supervision of service coordinators and group supervisions, when needed.

  5. Monitor FLEX/FSS funds both area offices.

  6. Monitor all DCF office spending with DCF (S&S, IFC, & CC), budget oversight

  7. Monitors the LHBS budget, expenses, for the Family Network Contract. Develops, implements, monitors and reviews operating budget. Ensures that internal reports are produced and reviewed in a timely fashion.

  8. Serve as a key liaison for the program and direct the resolution of inquiries, problems, complaints, or emergencies affecting availability or quality of services; respond to sensitive or complex inquiries, service complaints, or grievances filed.

  9. Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation

Manages all clinical and administrative staff. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the program. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Responsible for managing the LHBS program budget, DCF Flex Support Budget and DCF Family Network Budget on a daily basis. In addition, works within approved budget; develops and implements cost saving measures.

Listens and gets clarification when needed; responds well to questions. Writes clearly and informatively. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from consumers, regulatory agencies, or other service providers.

Qualifications

Master's level clinician with supervision experience. Knowledge of DCF and Family Networks.

First Shift Scheduled Hours Forty Hours

Physical Requirements

Transportation to commute between DCF offices and to/from meetings in community homes. Time spent sitting at desk/ computer 25%. Out of office meetings can occur before/ after-hours based on DCF & family needs.
