Be responsible for conducting ongoing research into the molecular pathology of various cancers. The responsibilities will include: overseeing the integrity of specimen collection and testing; providing written interpretation of test results; making recommendations regarding follow-up studies; conducting and managing studies into the molecular pathology of various cancers. They will also utilize a number of techniques including, immunohistochemistry, RNAi knockdown, molecular cloning, FISH, SKI, DNA microarrays, PCR, gene probe, and flow cytometry amongst others. Present research findings to research teams and as well as at relevant scientific meetings.
As a Research Pathologist they will be working with our drug discovery team to research small molecule therapeutic candidates to treat cancer. Our product pipeline is heavily focused on using molecular pathways and receptors as a means to combat cancer. They will lend there translational research expertise to our clinical compounds and work on the early product pipeline, with a focus on identification and validation of new targets.
In this position they will oversee the integrity of specimen collection and testing; provide written interpretation of test results; make recommendations to the research team about follow-up studies, and manage studies into the molecular pathology of various cancers.
