SUMMARY: Seeking a full-time MECHANIC who reports to the Foreman to repair and maintain pumps. DUTIES: Repair and maintain diesel and gasoline industrial and submersible pumps while positively representing the company and maintaining good relations with customers Use hand and power tools to repair, clean, and maintain pumps and pump appearance Load, secure, deliver, unload and install pumps Receive, inspect and stock needed products, including oil filters, air filters, pumps, hoses, and tools Secure and maintain hand and power tools required for work completion Inspect/examine, and test pumps using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods Read, comprehend, and apply information from parts diagrams, owner/instruction manuals Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications Complete paperwork as required by management Promote cooperation and good communication with all branch and corporate personnel Be an active participant in the company?s safety culture Know and practice company?s value proposition Perform all other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED 2 yrs. industrial mechanic experience or 3-6 mos. experience and/or training maintaining industrial, mud, vacuum, or submersible pumps; or equivalent combination of education and experience Valid Driver License Current certification for EHS&T and LOD sponsored training Must be able to handle heavy/strenuous physical demands of position (lift up to 100 lbs.) Must be able to work in outdoor inclement weather; be regularly exposed to fumes, air bourne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, loud noise, vibration, moving mechanical parts, and high and precarious positions Able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English Able to effectively present information in 1-on-1 and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; able to use calculator, cell phone, tape measure ruler, read a map, plan routes, and calculate distances Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment needs Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations Intermediate levels of personal computer skills required; using Windows-based software and MS Office (Excel), and Outlook; database management experienced preferred Able to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends Must be motivated, a team player, safety oriented and have a customer service orientation Ability to pass CORI, drug test, physical Rain for Rent is an EO employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability.
