Duties & Responsibilities:
At Teradyne , our Technical Writers work closely with our engineering team to create end-user technical documentation that is integrated into the software for our test systems and instrumentation. Your responsibilities will include:
Working as part of a cross-functional team to proactively gather and organize the information required to develop hardware and software documentation as well as ensuring the technical accuracy of that content.
Performing software installations to verify release candidates contain all required documentation and to validate integration both internally and with other installed help files.
Working closely with other Technical Writers to maintain adherence to department-specific processes and procedures.
Ensuring proper use of brand, voice, and style as well as correct spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation.

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:
Experience developing modular, reusable content for complex online help systems
Technical writing experience in a high-tech environment
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, must be a team player
Strong documentation project management capabilities
Ability to handle multiple projects with flexibility and a can-do attitude
Keen attention to detail with a high regard for quality, efficiency, and processes
Experience with source control software
Minimal understanding of C, C++, and/or C# .NET
HTML and XML
Corel PaintShop Pro
BSEE or CSEE preferred
