Summary: Senior Applications Analyst - Orders and Med Integration
A Senior Application Analyst in this role is part of a team that builds and supports a highly integrated EMR, using a standardized approach across a nationally recognized health care system. This position supports the Health Information System at Baystate Health with responsibilities that include installation, testing, deployment and continued maintenance and support of the code that supports medication order entry and dispensing processes, including electronic prescription writing, and pharmacy product maintenance and dispensing.
What You Will Do:
The analyst in this role is responsible for identifying issues and is independent in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues within the electronic record.
This application analyst would be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization to medication order entry processes required to support CPOE, and includes Powerplans and Caresets, as well as formulary maintenance. A strong understanding of medications and pharmacy workflows is required to support the maintenance of a standardized formulary across a multi-facility health system, including a center for oncology care. The application analyst in this role will be part of a team that is responsible for supporting all medication ordering and safety initatives.
The analyst in this role will work closely with the pharmacy informatics teams to understand desired outcomes, and work independently to develop functional and technical specifications, workflow diagrams, testing scripts and supporting documentation.
Minimally Required Education:
High School Diploma / GED
Minimally Required Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the implementation, configuration, deployment, maintenance and ongoing support of large computer applications.
