Title: FP&A Analyst – Medical global Location: Westborough - Massachusetts *- USA*
The role will provide focused analytical support to the Medical Finance Officer and Business Leadership team, by providing accurate and timely financial analyses and reports that will help drive business performance, provide transparency on business drivers and improve control environment. * Analyse business and financial data to support strategic business decisions. * Financial/Budget Responsibility: BU(s) Sales, Orders & OPEX. * Regional Commercial and Corporate Reporting * SOX, Group Policies, and local regulation compliance. * Prepare monthly, weekly and daily management reports that include P&L forecasting reports and daily revenue / orders / backlog reports. * Analyse performance metrics to identify key drivers for expenses, revenues and business risks, including profitability and pricing analyses. * Perform actual verses budget / forecast variances and generate variances report for management. * Assist in preparing weekly/monthly financial forecasts and yearly financial budget. * Improve financial forecasting model to support financial forecasting and planning processes. * Provide financial analysis support to various functions when needed. * Assist in managing business activities according to the operating plan to generate more profit. * Prepare business reports and perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business operations. * Liaise between finance and non-finance teams to support data collection, cross company initiatives, infrastructure development and process improvements. * Work with Business Managers to compare monthly performance with projected targets and to draw business conclusions. * Evaluate financial and business performances to provide appropriate improvement solutions. * Review all financial activities and provide feedback on improving financial modelling. * Work closely with the country Controllers and Regional/Global FP&A Groups to build standard work and work on process improvements. * Work with the KL CFS, UK OPS COE & Corporate Finance function to ensure accurate presentation of financial information under US GAAP. * Other duties may be assigned Confidential information handled: * All financial data related to Medical consolidated results. * Access to HFM and SAP ERP Software. Traveling: * Limited domestic & international travel 5-10%.
Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance * 3 years of experience in similar FP&A Financial Analyst position Preferred Qualifications: * 5 years of experience in similar FP&A Financial Analyst position * MBA preferred but not required * Experience in a global manufacturing environment highly preferred Position Competencies: * Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple variables. * Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills. * Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized. * Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated. * Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity * Experience with ERP systems (SAP, HFM). * Experience in US GAAP and SOX. Language Skills: * Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to read, analyse and interpret financial procedures. * Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
