State of Massachusetts Licensing Specialist I in 101 Federal Street, Massachusetts
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) seeks to hire a Licensing Specialist I,reporting to the Licensing Manager,toprocesslicensure and registrationapplications. The Division works in conjunction with the Commission’s Investigation and Enforcement Bureau to issue licenses and registrations.The role requires advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, anda dedication to customer service. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Review license and registration applications foradministrativecompleteness * Communicate with applicants and resolve issues with respect to errors anddeficiencies * Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, procedures and/orpolicies * Maintain and update records in therelevantdatabases * Providetechnicalassistance to applicants regardingsubmission of their applicationasnecessary * Serve as a resource to conductfingerprinting * Provide administrative support to the Division of Licensing such as filing, answeringtelephones, preparing correspondence and openingmail * Perform other duties asassigned. High School Diploma or equivalent and three years of experience in an office environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary is commensurate with experience. The successful candidate must pass an extensive background check that includes a full credit check, CORI, drug screen, income tax transcript review, professional references, and fingerprinting. The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is responsible for the implementation of the expanded gaming law (Chapter 194 of the Acts of 2011).
