Mechanical Design Engineer II for Honeywell International, Inc. (Acton, MA)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Responsible for the development and improvement of electro-mechanical products and processes related to airflow control and monitoring products and accessories.

•Analyzes and designs mechanical components, including material selection and required fabrication and assembly methods for current and future products.

•Responsible for technical organization and conduction of projects encompassing the design, analysis, evaluation, modification and fabrication of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies and components.

•Independently conducts investigation of complex technical problems including testing and the design and implementation of appropriate solutions.

•Supports manufacturing and field personnel with insightful analysis and problem solving to resolve issues.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

-Job Site: Acton, MA 40 hours/week

-Eligible for Employee Referral Program: $1500

YOU MUST HAVE:

Qualified applicants must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, or a related field and one (1) year of engineering experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in stated fields, and three (3) years of engineering experience. Full term of experience must include: thermodynamics; heat transfer; mechanisms; CAD modeling, FEA and CFD analysis tools; design for plastic injection molded, sheet metal fabrication and various metal forming methods; manufacturing and assembly methods and equipment. Experience must include: fluid dynamics; and mechanical vibration. Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week.
