Join the Azure for Operator mobile packet core team focused on delivering 5G mobile packet core to operators on hybrid Azure cloud globally as a service. The Senior Program Manager will play a critical role in the development and delivery 5G mobile packet core on Azure.
This role will lead and coordinate efforts between cross-functional teams like Sales, Marketing, Finance/Ops, Product Management, Engineering, Technical Support and Documentation teams.
The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects on the cloud They would also have experience working inside cloud engineering teams such as Compute, Networking and Storage – with a proven knowledge of engineering processes supporting compliance, privacy and security.
The Program Manager will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. An ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, then deliver them in a successful and timely manner is expected.
Orchestrates and integrates efforts on cross functional projects with internal teams and external partners.
Tracks, coordinates, and communicates end-to end project schedules for feature area(s). Monitors processes and holds stakeholders accountable for following the schedule. Tracks and manages dependencies to enable cohesive, connected user scenarios.
Ensures standards are met throughout the development lifecycle (e.g quality, privacy, security)
Establish a communication cadence for inward and outward messaging of key information through dynamic and ad-hoc means to drive visibility and transparency across the organization.
Develop scalable and effective mechanisms for managing complex programs across multiple teams.
BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field
8-10 years of technical program management experience
3-5 years’ experience of delivery on Public Cloud
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles and a track record of working closely with a large dev and product management team.
Experience organizing teams and processes for independent development and delivery of microservices preferred
Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) experience preferred
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
