Accounting Clerk Job Type - Temporary Pay Rate - \$19.00 - \$22.00 / Hourly Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk role situated in Agawam, Massachusetts. The focus of this role is on maintaining financial systems, including processing accounts receivable and payable, and reconciling accounts. The successful candidate will be part of an engaging workplace in the telecom industry. Responsibilities: Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are accurately processed and recorded Manage account reconciliation tasks to confirm that payments and invoices are balanced Execute billing procedures, preparing and issuing invoices to customers Perform data entry duties to maintain and update financial records Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and report generation Work closely with the team to resolve any issues related to account reconciliation or invoice processing Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies Assist with other accounting tasks as required. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures and practices Experience in billing processes and systems Skilled in data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Knowledge of invoice processing, including verification and reconciliation processes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas and data analysis tools Understanding of basic accounting principles and ability to apply them in work Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work effectively as part of a team Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Demonstrable problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of accounting Compliance with all company policies and regulations.
