Aerotek Forklift Operator in Agawam, Massachusetts
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator who has extensive experience with Hi/Lo-Reach trucks and material handling.
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in operating reach trucks and at least 1 year of experience as a material handler.
The role involves operating equipment to retrieve products that can be as high as 2-3 floors, as well as picking, packing, loading, and unloading freight.
Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various tasks within the warehouse.
Responsibilities
Operate Hi/Lo Forklift and reach trucks to retrieve products from high shelves.
Pick, pack, and select products according to work orders and manifests.
Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
Handle materials and move raw and shipping goods around the manufacturing and warehouse floors.
Use scan guns for inventory management.
Pack screws, bolts, and fasteners as required.
Perform any other tasks needed within the warehouse.
Essential Skills
At least 2 years of experience operating Hi/Lo-Reach trucks.
At least 1 year of experience as a material handler.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience with inventory management using scan guns or manifests.
Knowledge of safety practices when operating a Hi/Lo Forklift.
Experience operating a forklift in close quarters.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Hours
Monday-Friday, 3 pm to 11:30 pm
