Position Overview OMG currently operates in two Divisions: OMG Roofing Products and FastenMaster?. OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. The Production Supervisor effectively directs the day-to-day activities to meet production, quality, safety, and continuous improvement goals. This key position demands strong problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to drive a team to meet performance targets. The Production Supervisor requires a strong understanding of production manufacturing and lean processes and will lead by example. SEE THE OMG ROOFING WEBSITE FOR COMPLETE JOB DESCRIPTION Position Requirements High School diploma or equivalent (bachelor\'s degree preferred). 5+ years\' management or supervisory experience. Manufacturing experience required. Experience implementing lean manufacturing processes. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and mathematical skills. Self-starter with desire and willingness to institute change. Capable of overcoming obstacles and completing assignments in a timely manner. Ability to motivate individuals and teams to perform at high levels to meet and exceed goals. Team-oriented approach with a desire to work in a hands-on leadership capacity. Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills. Ability to effectively document performance and activities of Finishing functions. Strong sense of responsibility and ownership plus a desire and willingness to institute change when needed. Strong aptitude for understanding and troubleshooting mechanical processes. PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite. Positive can-do attitude. Physical Requirements Ability to work in high-noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices. The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time. Ability to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; handle or feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms; and occasionally lift/push/pull/carry up to 25 pounds. Must be able to complete all essential job functions listed in the position responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
