Starting Pay: \$32.14 +7% night shift differential. Job Function: In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, the lead position serves as a role model and is responsible for all aspects of the operation within the Warehouse department to include following all safety rules, company guidelines and GMP?s. The lead position requires the ability to work all shifts and all days of the week as needed. The lead is expected to efficiently and effectively communicate all instructions given by the Shift Supervisor. Lead the team in all aspects of promoting the company safety program, immediately identifying and eliminating risks, bad habits and poor behaviors. Communicate effectively with Shift Supervisors, Manager, and employees to ensure successful production runs. Maintain an open dialogue with the Shift Supervisor, keeping him/her advised of changes, problems and accomplishments. Follow the chain-of ?command and documentation in all matters requiring supervisory involvement. Assist with training and development of new employees to the department. Be familiar with all jobs performed in the department and assist with overseeing that daily goals/schedules are successfully met. Ability to grow and assume increased responsibilities as production requirements dictate. Flexible to vary work schedule dependent upon production and staffing needs. Interact with Warehouse, Production Control, Blow Mold, Maintenance and other departments to ensure efficient operations. Facilitate cross-training to maximize departmental efficiency. Job Qualifications: Excellent driving skills, hand/foot-eye coordination and manual dexterity Good record keeping / clerical skills Good far-visual differentiation and depth perception Good basic math and reading skills Good oral communication and human relations skills High School Diploma or equivalent Some experience or training as a forklift operator Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is desirable Working Conditions: Refrigerated environment \<40 degrees Factory environment Varying noise levels. Fast-paced work. Powered industrial truck traffic in both the case room and cheese room. Responsibilities allow occasional opportunity for varying work routine
