ICP Group Buyer in Andover, Massachusetts
Summary
This position is responsible for working with the Commodity Manager and Operations to optimize the Supply Chain. Primary responsibilities will include leveraging synergy savings and opportunities across the business while ensuring continuity of supply. The candidate will be responsible to help identify areas of opportunity and work with the team to drive improvements. The candidate will monitor the performance of the current supply base and overall commodity health, making appropriate recommendations and changes where necessary.
Essential Duties
Coordinate with internal customers to implement supplier changes, as required; assist plants and internal customers on sourcing related issues.
Assist in developing and tracking strategic KPIs
Work with R&D to communicate and facilitate alternative and new materials that create value and support ICP Vision
Analyze cross-divisional impact on global sourcing decisions
Assist in monitoring, communicating, and mitigating geopolitical risks and events impacting supply
Work with R&D group to ensure involvement in supplier selection process
Prepare RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs for product categories, complete bid evaluations.
Negotiate with suppliers for execution of Supply Agreements that achieve lowest total system cost, and which are in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Track supplier metrics, communicate supplier performance, and forecast requirements, as needed, ensuring all purchases consistent with quality and delivery requirements.
Associate feedstock and market intelligence with correlation to material pricing
Interface with other functional groups (Internal, External, and International) to provide information
Collaborate across the ICP organization to ensure business objectives are met
Travel requirement of 10-25%

Education/Experience
BS/BA Degree required; Chemistry degree preferred
5+ years of industry experience in petrochemical industry and a strong understanding of chemical production processes and the impact of various economic forces on the chemical industry.
Experience in use of ERP systems (Sage, Syspro, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent)
Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
