A Day in Your Life at MKS:MKS Instruments is seeking a Facilities Team Leader to join the team in Rochester NY. The Facilities Team Leader will contribute as a key member of the Facilities, EHS, and operations teams. In this position, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility’s structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC. You will be the primary point of contact for the HVAC and mechanical systems, as well as the various building monitoring and management systems. You will report to the manager of facilities.You will make an impact by:Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility’s structure, equipment, and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVACPerforms trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair, or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs, or office fixturesWorks with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production processMakes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessaryWorks from blueprints, drawings, or rough sketchesRequired Skills:Requires experience in the maintenance trades, formal apprenticeship or on-the-job trainingStrong leadership and communication skills and organizational experienceTroubleshooting and problem-solving skillsA minimum of 6 years of related experiencePhysical Demands & Working Conditions:Frequently moves objects weighing 11 to 20 pounds and occasionally moves objects (including non-motorized equipment) weighing 21 to 50 poundsFrequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at and above shoulder levelRegularly requires good manual dexterity and coordinationThe have the ability to remain in a stationary position for 25% of work timeMust be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understandMust be able to exchange accurate informationThe ability to observe documents and details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)Regularly carrying and climbing laddersRegularly manipulating and using power equipmentRegularly grasping and fine manipulation with handsRegularly proofreading and checking documents for accuracyRegularly standingNoise level in the work environment is usually averageTravel Requirements: Up to 20% of travel may be required in the local area
