MKS Instruments Inc Senior Tax Analyst (Hybrid) in Andover, Massachusetts
A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Sr Tax Analyst at MKS, you will be responsible in preparing the taxable income calculations for the U.S. federal filing for both quarterly and annual provision and compliance. In this role, you will report to the Tax Manager. This is a hybrid position required to be in office Tuesday-Thursday.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Prepare the taxable income workpapers to support the ASC 740 federal calculations, IRS estimates, extensions and returns
Analyze the nature of trial balance accounts for book to tax differences
Prepare the provision to return adjustments and verify tax account balances are accurate
Maintain workbooks for complex adjustments like Sec 263A UNICAP, and executive and stock compensation
Perform and document procedures for internal controls to comply with SOX (Sarbanes Oxley)
Support deployment of process improvements through tax technology (e.g. Onesource Tax Provision)
Research tax issues and write memos to document tax positions
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Legal, Internal and External Auditors)
Oversee and respond to audits and notices
Skills You Bring: (Required Skills)
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of job-related work experience
Strong proficiency in Excel
Preferred Skills:
Master’s degree
CPA certification
Experience in Onesource Tax Provision and Alteryx
This position is Hybrid, Tue-Thur, and must be within drivable distance to our location in Andover, MA.
