Lockheed Martin Subcontract Manager, Staff in Andover, Massachusetts

Description: The GridStar® Flow Program is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subcontract Manager to join our Energy Division in Andover, MA. The Subcontract Manager will play a critical role in managing and negotiating subcontracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and mitigating risks. In this position, the candidate will support a major energy storage product development program.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement subcontracting strategies that align with the company's objectives and contractual requirements.

2. Manage the entire subcontracting process, including solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and award.

3. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to subcontracting.

4. Develop and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.

5. Identify and mitigate risks associated with subcontracting activities.

6. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

7. Negotiate and modify subcontract terms and conditions as necessary.

8. Provide regular reports to senior management on subcontracting activities and performance.

9. Collaborate with other departments, such as operations, engineering, quality, legal, and finance to ensure smooth subcontracting processes.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field.

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to subcontracting.

- Proficiency in contract management software and tools.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Skills:

- A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPCM, CPSM) is a plus.

- Detail and Teamwork oriented with demonstrated organizational skills

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Business acumen and ability to make business-based decisions

- Self-motivated, demonstrated sense of urgency, ownership of tasks and accountable

- Experience leading cross-functional teams

- Demonstrated Leadership qualities and ability to lead a team

- Ability to work with all levels of management

- Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- Commitment to program and profession

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in subcontracts management, preferably in the Energy sector.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $105,000 - $197,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $91,300 - $175,000 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
