Job Summary:

Our Global Supply Change Management organization has an opportunity for a talented professional to join our team as a Business Process Lead within the Supplier Engineering (SE) System Execution Department. In this role you will be a “Project Manager”, of the SE Process Team and how Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) gets rolled into the greater SE Organization. As the SE Business Process Lead, you would be trained in CORE (Customer Orientated Results and Excellence) Processes, help ensure those CORE processes are part of the “ SE Process Team” creation, and would be the consultant for the SE Org regarding CORE processes.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Act as the Supplier Engineering CORE Lead to ensure that newly created/documented processes align with the CORE principles

  • Facilitate the management of SE metrics in support of CORE principles

  • Lead a team focused on creating process documentation (Command Media) and metrics that are specific to the role and function of Supplier Engineering

  • Understand APQP and be able to guide the Process Team regarding creation of documentation and work flows in support of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) for Supplier Engineering

  • Act as an interface between multiple departments within Supplier Engineering to capture best practices, drive documentation, and then roll-out training to the broader Supplier Engineering Organization as Standard Work.

  • Coordinate various databases, SW tools, and automated processes based on an understanding of Supplier Engineering process flows and customer deliverables

  • Align on and use standard RTX based SW development tools for long term support and maintainability

  • Be able to work with other organizations with the focus of understanding other available tools and how those tools could be integrated or interact

  • Travel up to 5-10%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • B.S./B.A. is required in one of the following Majors: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Optical Engineering or related Engineering field

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Value:

  • Existing knowledge in CORE, or willing to be trained and take a lead role regarding CORE [Customer Orientated Results and Excellence]

  • Masters’ degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance or STEM field

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Project Management Experience - Understanding work tasks, timelines, and drive to closure

  • Ability to influence non-direct reports

  • Knowledge of RTX Supply Chain Command Media

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting engineering or other technical documentation related to technical requirements of produced parts, such as Statements of Work (SOW)

  • Experience with suppliers in the electrical, mechanical or energetics supply base or with products in the sub-technologies listed in the job description

  • The ability to proactively anticipate and identify needs and expectations of a department and integrate into work processes.
