We are seeking a Senior System Integration Technologist to join the Connected Factory Team at Raytheon. In this role, you will be at the forefront of integrating complex IT/OT (operational technology) converged environments within our production manufacturing environments and factories. Your work will directly contribute to the development and deployment of critical defense systems that ensure the security and safety of our nation and its allies.

This role is perfect for someone junior to the world of IT and/or factory environments who wants to be part of a highly visible, mission-critical technical team who supports one another. You’ll be working with robotics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and SCADA systems!

What You Will Do

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and support critical factory manufacturing systems. This includes identifying problems with software, network connectivity, computer hardware, and operating system (mostly Windows).

  • Facilitate the evaluation of emerging technologies, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and other smart devices for use within the factory environments

  • Participate in cybersecurity compliance-related activities to include maintaining device inventories, vulnerability remediation, and working to achieve Authorization to Operate (ATO) for various factory IT/OT systems

  • Assist with the network/data flow design for factory solutions; firewall rules required, direction of communications, TCP/IP ports, etc.

  • Perform basic cyber hardening on IT, OT, and IIoT devices such as PLCs, actuators, robots, servos, torque controllers, etc.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: IT Support, Network Administration, Windows or Linux System Administration, Cybersecurity, Industrial Automation, Manufacturing Engineering

  • Ability to lift 15 pounds in support of hardware installations

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working in a factory environment on a technical team

  • Experience with robotics, PLCs, and/or SCADA systems

  • Experience with cyber vulnerability remediation and system hardening

  • Industrial cybersecurity certifications

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
