Raytheon Test Equipment and Maintenance Supervisor in Andover, Massachusetts

Join our Test Equipment Maintenance and Repair Department (TEMR) in Andover, Massachusetts (TEMR) and be a part of this dynamic team that performs 15,000 calibrations and 12,000 repairs annually for the IDS Northeast Mission Centers and supports over 425 Test Platforms in Andover's Integrated Air Defense Center (IADC). TEMR is also involved in capital equipment planning as well as the introduction of solutions to address test equipment obsolescence. The TEMR Department consists of 90 employees and provides electrical and mechanical calibration and repair services of COTS test equipment as well as unique manual and automatic Raytheon-designed test systems. The Test Equipment and Maintenance Technical Supervisor will manage approximately 12 represented employees (10 electrical and 2 Hydraulic technicians) in a fast-paced manufacturing support environment. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling equipment repairs as well as test station calibrations and preventive maintenance across multiple programs as well as all the Hydraulic test equipment in the IADC facility (pumps, chillers, heat exchangers, etc). Leverage your communication skills through daily interaction with other cross-business teams in IADC to maintain and meet organizational and program goals and objectives. These external groups include: Operations, technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, new program / modernization introductions and Facility Maintenance. Maintaining safety, cost, quality and delivery commitments while at the same time identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities are critical criteria for this position. In addition to the above, responsibilities include: workforce planning and forecasting, overtime coordination, employee training, time and attendance tracking, capital planning, control of overhead expenses and ensuring the enforcement of company policies and procedures. Required Skills: 4 years relevant technical experience using, repairing, maintaining and improving electronic equipment. Demonstrated applicable work experience in a fast paced production/manufacturing or similar environments, with experience in the Test Equipment and Calibration field. .Experience and understanding of general calibration philosophies U.S. Citizenship status is required Desired Skills: Elevated computer literacy; proficient working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word) as well as Webview/PDM, and VBS. Understanding of traceability to the Bureau of Standards / NIS, as well as experience using calibration control systems such as ASSET SMART or METCAL. Proven knowledge and hands on experience using, repairing, maintaining and improving electronic based Special Test Equipment (STE) OSHA training and safety participation / engagement such as Safety Zone Specialist activities Proven ISO900x compliance and readiness, ideally with the military customer (MDA, DCMA etc. Experience creating and/or updating calibration procedures General understanding of Six Sigma, Quality, and Continuous Improvement processes .Previous experience supervising represented employees Must be able to obtain Secret security clearance.
