Engineered Materials Solutions Supply Chain Manager (Manufacturing) in Attleboro, Massachusetts

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Manager at our manufacturing facility.  Your expertise will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain systems and processes, minimizing costs, and maintaining high-quality standards. Position Summary: 

Manages and oversees overall supply chain, including planning, purchasing, outside processing, logistics and inventory of materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive planning strategies to meet organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align plans with business objectives.

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on planning metrics for senior management.

  • Lead and facilitate planning meetings to ensure effective communication.

  • Monitor and analyze market trends and internal data to assess risks and opportunities.

  • Manage resource allocation efficiently to optimize operational performance.

  • Mentor and train planning team members to enhance their skills and performance

  • Leads planning function to optimum balance of production uptime, efficiency, shipment OTD and inventory.

  • Develops an internal process incorporating Lean Manufacturing principals for achieving the above objective.

  • Plans raw material purchasing in alignment with customer commercial commitments.

  • Ensure supply chain materials are available as scheduled and inventory is maintained.

  • Coordinate production plans with Value Stream customer needs

  • Plans internal and subcontractor production schedules to meet committed ship dates.

  • Coordinates supply plans for new product introductions in conjunction with sales, marketing, engineer / product development, operations, logistics and suppliers.

  • Develops metrics to assess supplier performance, while maintaining overall quality and customer service.

  • Manage warehouse activities, including all aspects of material issue and stock-up

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures to achieve the overall supply chain objectives.

  • Other duties as required.

    Education and Experience:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty (Engineering, Supply Chain preferred)

  • 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Chain (CPSM) preferred.

  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams; excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Understanding of ERP or Oracle systems

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
