MITRE's National Cybersecurity FFRDC (NCF) team is currently seeking an Artificial Intelligence Intern. This position is an exciting opportunity to provide support and help to resolve technical challenges related to artificial intelligence through the application of available technologies and the application of frameworks. The role involves interactions with the NIST sponsor and MITRE team members.

The successful candidate will:

  • Stay up to date on advances within the Al field, both in industry and academia

  • Be familiar with industry standard best practices for software design, implementation, testing, and documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Masters or PHD degree in a technical discipline (including, but not limited to Computer Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, etc.)

  • Practical experience in AI methods

  • Practical experience working as a team member

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Familiarity with Demonstrated success using Python, and Al frameworks such as TensorFlow, Torch, Caffe, or Keras

  • Sustained excellence in academic performance

  • High level desire to help their nation solve its most critical challenges

  • Ability to obtain a DHS Fitness Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS or other cloud-based Machine Learning platforms

  • Demonstrated, practical problem-solving experience
