The Edinburg Center is looking for a BCBA for our Mental Health Specialty Flex Team - this is not your ordinary BCBA role! Fulltime Salaried $ 75,608.00

Who You Are: BCBA/LABA or close to your it? We are looking for BCBAs who want to apply their skills differently and want to practice within the intersection of mental health and behavior. Experience conducting functional behavior assessments. Experience in goal development and design of positive behavior support plans. Experience with the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS or other related assessments preferred. Experience working with youth 22 years and under with serious emotional and behavioral challenges or autism. Excellent written and interpersonal skills, team player. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. What You Will Do:

  • BCBAs on the Specialty Flex team use the principles of ABA with youth who experience mental health challenges other than ASD to support them and their families.

  • BCBAs provide parent coaching, development of a FBA and BSP, they may participate in family therapy to observe patterns of behavior and family dynamics or to offer a different perspective, and they collaborate with a variety of collaterals.

  • You will have weekly individual supervision with a BCBA and weekly group supervision with a social worker to better understand the complexities of the mental health challenges the youth struggle with and will also take part in a daily team consult.

  • A BCBA on Specialty Flex needs to think outside the box and be flexible while following principles of ABA as well as having strong boundaries.

  • A Specialty flex BCBA must understand that mental health and behavior are intertwined and must be comfortable with independent work and teamwork as they will join a multidisciplinary team of master's level mental health clinicians, bachelors level clinicians, an occupational therapist, a young adult peer mentor, and a family partner.

  • There is no minimum productivity requirement.
