MITRE’s Enterprise Technology organization is seeking an experienced Business Manager. Accountable to Mission Infrastructure Department Manager, this role is responsible for managing and growing the department’s service portfolio. This will include the transition of MNS, MPS, and MITRE Labs environments and laboratory work to the department’s CMMC Compliant Multi-Tenant Platform (MTP), Environment for Policy, Integration and Compliance (EPIC), and working with customers to identify their gaps and prepare for CMMC.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Business Manager oversees EPIC's operations and strategic development through the following key responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Manage daily interactions and partnerships between EPIC and MITRE's business partners, including MNS, MPS, and MITRE Labs
Develop and execute EPIC's strategic plan
Collaborate with department operations teams to ensure effective delivery of EPIC services
Financial Management
Monitor and report financial performance to Department and Division Management
Coordinate and ensure timely completion of monthly status reports
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to DOD and additional information environments
Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced and changing environment
Ability to independently work and initiate and manage change
Excellent oral and written communication skills
This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Proficiency in using Microsoft suite of tools
Proficient in SharePoint online
Dependable, flexible, and professional demeanor
Flexibility to work additional hours to meet project deadlines, as needed
