Join MITRE’s Accelerator team supporting MITRE Engenuity, our tech foundation for public good, as a digital content specialist. The Accelerator drives research and technology efforts to improve the security, safety and resilience of the industries that make up our core pillars, such as infrastructure, finance, telecommunications, and healthcare. MITRE Engenuity works towards solutions that don’t just benefit a single company; it drives innovation that changes industries and become global standards. Acceleration is more than speed. As a key member of the team, the Digital Content Specialist will play a critical role in supporting this mission through effective communication and marketing skills.

The Digital Content Specialist is a generalist versed in digital communication and is able to apply the skills they have and learn new skills on the job to effectively market MITRE Engenuity offerings. In an increasingly digital world with a highly digital audience, this role has great potential to creatively research and apply latest methods to reach key audiences. Adaptability is critical.

Responsibilities include:

  • Production and management of MITRE Engenuity’s website

  • Developing and delivering digital materials including webpages, powerpoint presentations, one pagers, pitch decks, and other creative materials to elevate MITRE Engenuity’s brand presence and core offerings

  • Publishing digital marketing content online

  • Designing and implementing digital assets against objectives and measures

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience managing digital marketing outreach campaigns using content management systems (CMS)

  • Graphics design and creative direction experience

  • Experience with formatting content into visually appealing layouts, data visualizations, and infographics

  • Proficiency with the following:

  • Social media tools

  • CRM systems

  • Content management systems

  • Standard creative tools including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat Pro

  • Familiarity with web accessibility standards

  • Ability to work with WordPress

  • Experience developing brand management and guidelines

  • Experience designing collateral for social media channels

  • Understanding of UX design principles and how they apply across a digital interface

  • Solid understanding of digital environments, principles, and terminology

  • Strong creative approach a must as well as the ability to develop and drive integrated content and digital programs that support business goals

  • Ability to understand relevant connections among key audiences and assets and quickly conceptualize ways to orchestrate them

  • Strong passion for digital communications and staying current with the latest outreach tools and tactics

  • Experience writing/editing HTML and CSS

  • Willingness/ability to learn new subject matter and technologies quickly

  • Exceptional team player with ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced environment

  • Willingness/ability to learn new subject matter and technologies quickly

  • Strong research and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design, communication, marketing, or related field
