HOUSING SPECIALIST

PART TIME

$20.00 per hour

Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT)

Bedford, MA (mobile position in the surrounding communities)

The Edinburg Center is seeking a Housing Specialist within our Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT).

What You Will Do:

Responsible for assisting Persons Served with finding stable housing by learning to:

  • Evaluate DMH and Edinburg Center subsidized housing sites.

  • Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing/certification requirements and regulations.

  • Coordinate housing searches and completion of paperwork related to housing subsidies.

  • Develop and maintains positive relationships with realtors and landlords in the PACT catchment area.

  • Utilize an assertive outreach model as a member of a self-contained interdisciplinary team.

Who You Are:

BA/BS preferred. Minimum of two year's experience working with adults with major mental illness and co-occurring substance abuse disorders preferred. Ability to learn about housing. Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation required.
