CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for a Multi-Disciplined Technician II.

Location: Bedford, MA
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Bedford, MA
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Education: High School Diploma or higher, with relevant work experience; Associate's Degree in Life Sciences or related field preferred

Description
The Multi-Disciplined Technician II will work in the Reagents areas and be responsible for manufacturing Matrigel using well-defined processes. This includes making buffers, setting up production runs, and interacting with Quality Assurance to identify and resolve any non-conformance issues. The role involves using various laboratory techniques including centrifugation, buffer extractions, filtration, and dialysis methods. The Technician will also use an ERP system to perform production transactions.
Requirements:
• 1-3 years' experience working in a laboratory or life sciences environment, preferably in Biotechnology
• Willingness to work as a team player
• Open to cross-training and becoming multi-skilled
• Lab experience working with lab equipment and tools
• Ability to take direction and work on production requirements as needed (after training)
Required Qualifications
Education:
• High School Diploma or higher, with relevant work experience
• Associate's Degree in Life Sciences or related field preferred
Qualifications:
• 1-3 years' experience in a laboratory or life sciences environment, ideally in a biotechnology setting
• Proficient with basic lab equipment and production processes
• Familiar with ERP systems for production transactions
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work with hazardous materials in a controlled environment
Working Hours:
• 40 hours, Full-Time
- Please note that work must be completed for the day, thus may be slightly above 8 hours in a day if required.• Mon-Fri 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. OR 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. (may be flexible) – rotating weekends.• NOTE: Once trained and comfortable, the contingent worker will be included in a cycle to work on the weekends to maintain the Matrigel cycle for the upcoming week (there is a rotating plan).
Working Conditions:
• Good working conditions.
• Work in clean rooms, general lab, and cold room ranging from 2 to minus 20 degrees Celsius, where specified PPE for each area is required.
• Frequently lifts and/or moves material and/or objects up to 50 pounds.
• May handle hazardous material in controlled environment.
Required Skills:
• Willing to work as a team player.
• Open to cross-training and becoming multi-skilled.
• Lab experience working with lab equipment and tools.
• Able to take direction and work on production requirements as needed (after training).
Desired skills:
• 5S and lean manufacturing knowledge.
