As a member of MITRE’s BM/C2 and Surveillance Division, you will provide administrative support for two departments. You will be the lead department administrator to support the Air Surveillance C2 Systems (P463) and Space, Missile and Nuclear Systems (P464) leadership and project teams. Collaboration, proactive engagement, self-motivation, and an eagerness to learn will be key to success. Candidates should have experience with office productivity software, including MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Good communication skills and flexibility to work with others on short-deadline assignments will help you.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying your creativity to manage the department websites (SharePoint-based)

  • Coordinating department events

  • Managing calendars and travel for a small group of leaders

  • Formatting, editing, and proofreading written documents

  • Managing department purchasing, including reconciling statements

  • Assisting with daily department operations, including, safe checks, phone coverage, and visitors

  • Managing department compliance and emergency/safety procedures

We hope to select a candidate who is comfortable prioritizing workload while communicating proactively with their supported staff. Two to five years of experience with the Microsoft application suite, strong editing/grammar skills, and a desire to team with your fellow administrators are all important.
