The Enterprise Security Assurance department within MITRE’s Global Security Services (GSS) organizes, coordinates and focuses intelligence and investigative activities to identify and mitigate threats to the company’s sensitive or critical resources posed by foreign adversaries and competitors seeking to disadvantage MITRE’s missions, relationships, contracts and business pursuits within the U.S. government and global marketplaces. Program Protection/Threat Management Specialists apply multi-disciplinary approaches to analyze MITRE operations and programs for criticality; assess threats; assess vulnerability of Corporate, program, or project operations; assess risk as a function of criticality, threat and vulnerability; and develop countermeasures to reduce risk at a Corporate, program or project level as an integrated element of MITRE’s enterprise security risk management strategy. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the development of policies and procedures supporting multifaceted and highly-sensitive, enterprise-wide CI and insider threat investigations.

  • Participate in process improvement studies to enhance the analysis of information gleaned through enterprise threat detection initiatives including identification of trends, anomalies and/or actionable threats; and recommend process improvements ensuring risk-based and cost-effective CI mitigations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in the fields listed below, or equivalent knowledge and skills.

  • Engineering

  • Political Science

  • Statistics

  • Military Science

  • Additional professional qualifications include: nursing, legal, public policy, pharmacology, therapy, mental health, medicine and public health categories

  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.

Required Qualifications:

  • Multi-disciplinary background with deep technical knowledge and experience of at least three of the following: intelligence analysis, counterintelligence operations, insider threat program, investigations, or industrial security.

  • Training in process management and/or process improvement principles

  • Possess and maintain a Top Secret/SCI level clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in doctoral program with focus in global security and/or security management
