Applied Research Solutions Senior Modeling Engineer in Bedford, Massachusetts

Description

The Modeling Engineer is responsible for conducting work that includes analyzing, planning, designing, implementing, documenting, evaluating, and managing the enterprise's structural framework. This is to ensure the alignment of IT strategy, plans, and systems with the organization's mission, goals, structure, and processes.

Selected candidate will have the following:

  • MS Viso

  • Data Architecture / Modeling Strategy

  • Other Modeling Tool Tools and Skills Proficiency

  • DOORs

  • Cameo

  • Modeling in SYSML, UML or UA

  • Modeling Federation Strategy

  • Understanding of at least one Architectural Framework (DODAF, TOGAF, UAF, or Other)

  • Agile Methodology’s

  • MS Projects such as SparxEA

  • Building, Implementing and Maintaining CI/CI delivery pipelines

  • Working in Dev-Sec Ops type environments.

  • Building detailed requirements traceability and analysis using DOORs.

  • Enterprise level Modeling Federation and Strategic planning.

  • Creating models of various detail and prospectives reflective of DoD Architectural Framework.

  • Creating Models of complex Information Technology systems – with the ability to model interconnections, dependances which exist across various systems.

  • DoDAF

  • Zero Trust

  • Contracting / Scheduling

  • DoD Program Structure

  • Supporting Background in one of the following areas:

  • Administration, design, or modeling experience with IT infrastructure.

  • Network design, or infrastructure administration.

  • Cyber Security

Individuals in this specialty may be responsible for:

  • Developing enterprise reference models and managing the information within the IT repository.

  • Identifying discrepancies between the existing and desired architectures and devising transition plans.

  • Advising on policies and principles that govern technology decisions within the enterprise architecture.

  • Detecting opportunities to enhance enterprise systems to support business processes and integrate new technologies.

  • Educating and advocating for the enterprise architecture's use and benefits to customers and stakeholders.

  • Offering guidance, support, and coordination for enterprise architecture to customers and IT project teams.

  • Recording the enterprise architecture infrastructure, including business units and essential processes, through modeling techniques.

  • Guaranteeing enterprise-wide technical integration by engaging in test planning, validation, and review processes.

  • Assessing the effects of enterprise architecture products and services on IT investments, business operations, stakeholder satisfaction, and other metrics.

  • Overseeing governance and portfolio management tasks to ensure enterprise architecture compliance and the strict enforcement of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices.

  • Will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Technical Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a US citizen

  • BA/BS Degree, and 15 years of Cyber-Security experience and 5 years DoD experience or; MA/MS Degree and 12-year experience, 5 years in DoD or; 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications of which 8 years are in DoD

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
