Under minimal supervision, repairs, refurbishes, re-qualifies and performs preventive maintenance activities on instruments. Performs a variety of technical and administrative duties in the process of repairing and servicing instruments. Provides training, mentoring and assistance to Service Center Technicians as required
Performs all Service Center repairs on rental, customer and in-house instruments and close out associated Incident Report.
Rare field travel may be required.
Lifts and transfers instruments weighing approximately 50 pounds on benches and racks.
Troubleshoots mechanical, software, and hardware problems on all Service Center products.
Maintains inventory within the Service Center and assist Manager with miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Trains and advises less-experienced technicians in appropriate troubleshooting and corrective actions.
Determines and recommends resources required to assist in resolution of problems.
Ensures proper compliance with all IL procedures and policies.
Stays aware of bloodborne pathogens (training given by IL).
Maintains test fixtures and/or calibrating fixtures.

Min Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Five years of comparable experience in similar working environment.
