The primary focus of a Sales Consultant (Pre-sales) is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers and internally to our sales force
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction, through on-line/in person sales efforts. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Internet Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Internet Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions. Support sales team in online/in-person selling efforts. Expert level responsible for formulating and leading presales technical/functional sales support activity for customers, as well as Oracle community development of resources and solutions based on market needs. Approximate percentage of face to face interaction with customers to perform responsibilities is 15%
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

The Onboarding & Excellence Hub Lead currently manages two strategic programs solution engineering onboarding and cultural excellence. The NAASE onboarding program focuses on growth, equality, and innovation - offering new-hire Solution Engineers an accelerated enablement experience, inspiring flawless execution of deals. The cultural excellence program focuses upon the creative orchestration, execution, and analysis of high impact programs meant to increase value across the NAASE organization.
The top candidate will have experience defining and developing innovative programs with an understanding of human centered design and optimized adult learning. They will be creative, passionate, analytical, and have a background in sales and/or program management. They will be excited to make an impact to the NAASE organization and will adjust easily to changes in their responsibilities as the position evolves.
You'll be responsible for guiding teams of new-hire NAASE professionals through a rigorous onboarding training program, evaluating performance, providing daily coaching, and ensuring each individual s on-boarding success.
You ll be responsible for managing and delivering creative and engaging high value programs which improve overall productivity and inspire flawless execution. You ll be an inspiration to Oracle s SE in the hubs, equipping each SE with opportunities to increase their own personal/professional success and happiness. This role is responsible for encouraging a culture of engagement and learning at Oracle.
Essentials of the Role:
Comfort with creating/managing/executing a clearly defined strategic project plan.
Monitor progress and consistently report progress and development.
Collaborate across the Oracle eco-system to drive best in class learning and to improve the effectiveness of the Solution Engineering hub community to win deals.
Perform detailed needs assessments in coordination with various supportive resources.
Translate business needs into SE offerings, programs, and initiatives and identify innovative techniques for delivery and consumption.
Create, develop, manage, and lead the successful execution of cross-functional SE programs.
Measure program outcomes based on defined objectives. Report on the effectiveness of SE program investments. Measures monthly, quarterly, and annually with trending and analysis applied to the results.
Assist with the creation, execution and maintenance of training assets and curriculum. Including presentations, deal reviews, workshops, etc.
Share data driven insights with management. Provide recommendations for iterative improvements in the overarching strategic approach of your programs.
Maintain consistent and credible communication with key stakeholders.
Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching and support to SEs, as they interact with curriculum
oCore curriculum will include but is not limited to technical product knowledge, solution selling skills, presentation skills, and demo best practices.
oCandidate must have full command of core curriculum. Must be proficient in sales engagement models, selling methodologies, solution engineering, enablement, and effectiveness tools.

Collaborates with internal and external teams to support multiple SE initiatives within the hubs.
Markets program offerings effectively to internal audiences through written campaigns and online resources to drive participation.

Creative and fun to work with! Able to cultivate a spirit of fun within the Hub while maintaining professional credibility. Comfortable presenting to any audience with varying topics and durations.
-Req: Direct sales experience - Solution Engineering background (preferred), direct sales experience, program management, project management (considered).
