MITRE currently has Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) opportunity in our Corporate team. In this role, you will be expected to work collaboratively and in a consultative fashion to effectively align workforce strategies and practices with business objectives. We seek dynamic HR practitioners who can lead talent management initiatives, foster continuous improvement, and cultivate strong partnerships within MITRE. This role involves data-driven decision-making, anticipating needs, and preparing the organization for future challenges and opportunities. Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted business partner and coach to employees and all levels of leaders from frontline to executives.

  • Partner with leadership to understand business needs and provide HR insights to develop and drive people-related outcomes.

  • Collaborate closely with leaders and employees to implement HR programs including talent reviews and succession planning, workforce planning, compensation planning, performance management, actioning employee survey data, and internal processes and policies.

  • Lead or collaborate on organizational design strategy and change management initiatives to drive alignment across the organization.

  • Use business knowledge and metrics data to identify trends and develop appropriate actions.

  • Identify people-related challenges and deliver strategic solutions to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.

  • Collaborate with HR subject matter experts to align HR strategy to meet business needs.

  • Stay informed on employment laws, regulations, and proven practices to drive positive business outcomes.

Required Experience and Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related experience; or a master’s degree and 8 years of related experience working in a mid-size or large multi-site organization.

  • Ability to quickly build trust and effectively engage with leaders, many of whom possess high credentials and analytical skills, translating business priorities into actionable talent strategies, and achieving targeted outcomes.

  • Proven ability to diagnose issues, drawing on both professional experience and strategic thinking skills, and drive appropriate solutions with self-initiative.

  • Experience in talent management, organizational design, and performance enablement and employee relations, compensation, and talent/leadership development.

  • Highly collaborative with the ability to quickly build strong and trusted relationships across leadership teams, cross-functional partners, and key stakeholders.

  • Critical thinker and analytic-minded with success in developing data-driven solutions for the business.

  • High business acumen, coaching skills, persuasive communication skills when engaging leaders and employees. Ability to balance competing priorities and conflicting opinions to facilitate the best decisions for employees and the business in an environment of ambiguity and rapid change.

  • Ability to influence and energy to get things done with an iterative approach and willingness to jump from strategy to development to change management to execution in order to scale programs aimed at driving business outcomes.

  • Ability to inspire energy, enthusiasm, and engagement in others.

  • Strong negotiation and decision-making skills with a focus on integrity and ethics.

Preferred Experience and Capabilities:

  • Previous U.S. government contracting experience, especially within a highly matrixed organization.

  • HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent.

  • Experience with HRIS platforms, preferably Workday.

  • Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a clearance as required.

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills and the ability to prepare high quality documents as well as present and facilitate group meetings and events.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by leveraging intellectual curiosity to explore innovative HR practices and solutions.

  • Promotion of a diverse and inclusive culture, fostering development and learning.

  • Collaboration with other HR leaders to enhance customer impact through shared resources, subject matter expertise, and partnerships.
