A Global Pharmaceutical Company located in Bedford, MA is seeking a Tax Analyst to join their Tax organization. Reporting to the Tax Director, the Tax Analyst is responsible for preparing aspects of the tax provision and tax return workpapers, estimated tax payments, sales & Use tax compliance and ad-hoc projects.

  • Prepare tax workpapers to support corporate income tax compliance and accounting including:

  • US income and franchise tax returns, calculating book/tax differences, estimated tax payments, and state apportionment factors

  • Income tax provision workpapers including calculating book/tax differences

  • Prepare aspects of return-to-provision analyses

  • Perform research and analysis of tax issues impacting the business, draft technical memos

  • Liaise with finance and business counterparts to ensure compliance with tax laws

  • Responsible for preparing monthly tax entries, supporting documentation, and tax account reconciliations

  • Primary responsibility for all indirect tax filings, including sales & use and tax property tax compliance; respond to indirect tax inquiries from the business

  • Maintain tax compliance calendar to ensure all filings are timely completed

  • Respond to tax notices and audit information requests

  • Assist/lead tax projects as assigned

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting required with 2-4 years of experience in corporate taxation (public accounting experience preferred)

  • Solid Microsoft Excel skills

  • Attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and data integrity

  • Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline driven environment

  • Proactive, enthusiastic, analytical problem solver

salary: $100,000 - $105,000 per year
