Cell Signaling Technology Associate Product Scientist/Product Scientist in Beverly, Massachusetts

Associate Product Scientists work as part of the Production Team to produce, manage, characterize and provide technical support for a variety of products including rigorously validated antibodies, assay kits and companion products. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of activities including bench work (estimated 60% of the time), product customer/technical support/service (20%) and coordination of product related activities (20%). This role serves as a unique opportunity to be at the intersection of benchwork, production and customer relations among a team with a wide variety of backgrounds.

  • Produces quality product lots to ensure availability for customer orders

  • Works closely with Product Development to ensure timely release of new products

  • Designs and completes scientific experiments including western blots, immunoprecipitation, tissue culture, transfections, ELISAs, assays, and affinity purifications in support of producing and characterizing product lots with moderate guidance

  • Learns and applies protocols and is able to produce quality data

  • Draws appropriate conclusions to simple experiments with limited guidance

  • Assists customers with product related questions by phone and email, answering basic technical inquiries with some assistance while seeking additional consultation to respond to complex issues

  • Some familiarity with using online research tools and literature searches to support experimental design and to resolve technical support issues

  • Manages inventory of products and coordinates availability with Global Supply Chain teams to fulfill customer orders

  • Works closely with Sales & Marketing teams to ensure accuracy and clarity of product data sheets and customer messaging deadlines

  • Bachelor's degree in a biological science (e.g. molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or biotechnology)

  • 2 years or more of laboratory bench work experience

  • Knowledge of some signaling pathways

  • Experience working with antibodies including western blotting, ELISA, and immunoprecipitation techniques

  • Experience with mammalian cell culture, transfections and protein work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in a biological science (e.g. molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or biotechnology)

  • Working knowledge of technical support tools (e.g.

  • Understanding of workflow tools

  • Proven team collaboration skills
