Job Description:
Beverly Hospital, located in Beverly Massachusetts is part of the Beth Israel Lahey Health System. The Beverly PACU consists of 15 PACU bays, 10 Pre-op holding bays, and 6 Surgical Day Care bays. Beverly Hospital, located in Beverly Massachusetts is part of the Lahey Health System. We provide a wide range of specialties including; orthopedics, GYN, general, vascular, thoracic, spine, pediatrics, cystoscopy, and ENT. The Peri anesthesia Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe patient care for patients before and after operative and other invasive procedures.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Perianesthesia Team, you will be responsible for the following:
Complete assessments, administer medications/treatment, observe patient’s progress and evaluates therapies for clinical outcomes and effectiveness
Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to develop an optimal health care plan for each patient
Support and educate patients and their families to achieve maximum outcomes
Follows guidelines of perianesthesia practice through recommendations of The American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses (ASPAN)
Scheduled Hours :
36 hours per week, rotating shift
Weekend/night/holiday call rotation required. Potential rotation to Danvers Outpatient Surgery Center
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
BLS/ACL/PALS required
At least 1-2 years of work experience in a PACU, Critical Care, or ER preferred
