Description We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Beverly, Massachusetts. The Staff Accountant will handle tasks related to Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and month end close accruals. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.

• Conduct bank reconciliations on a regular basis.

• Maintain and manage the general ledger.

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing.

• Assist in the preparation of balance sheets and income statements.

• Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.

• Identify and resolve any discrepancies in financial reports.

• Ensure all accounting practices align with the financial legislation and regulations.

• Collaborate with other accounting staff and departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Evaluate and improve current accounting systems to enhance efficiency. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger management

• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
